Knitted Ribbed Beanie

Time flies so quick. Time flies never to be recalled.
Hari Jumaat terakhir untuk bulan Oktober. Minggu depan sudah November. Sebulan lagi untuk ke tahun baru.
Subhanallah. Makin meningkat usia saya nampaknya. Ye la..tahun depan sudah mencecah 16 tahun ( dengan 36 tahun pengalaman ).

Baru-baru ini Bajet 2016  sudah diumumkan. Hmmmm..nampaknya tiada apa yang menarik. RM500 sahaja rezeki untuk kali ini. Sekarang dan masa-masa mendatang, kita sendiri perlu memperjuangkan ekonomi keluarga. Kerajaan sedia ada tidak betah membantu hanya menekan. Argh.. tak mahu lagi bicara mengenai bajet.

Sejak lahirnya anak sepupu saya lebih kurang 3 minggu yang lalu, mood knitting saya kembali. Bertatih-tatih kembali refresh ilmu knitting. Alhamdulillah. Ilmu yang memerlukan ingatan ini ibarat unta liar. Kuat pegang pada talinya, elok la unta itu di tangan/ di kawal. Saya seperti ilmu hafazan Al Quran. Rajin hafal, rajin baca, kekal la dalam ingatan. Jika tidak.....


Saya share beberapa hasil topi saya kait. Guna DPNS ( double pointed needles ). 4 batang semuanya. Ianya mudah. Mulakan dengan long tail cast on, dan diikuti dengan k1,p1 sehingga 1.5" dan diikuti knit sehingga tinggi topi mencapai 4.5". Start decrease. Hingga akhir, guna darn needle untuk memperkemaskan topi :D. Masih banyak perlu dibaiki... Practise make perfect uolls.

Simple Knitted Beanie

Bersiaran lagi hari nih..Minggu akhir sempena pembentangan Bajet 2016.
Cuti hujung minggu saya abiskan rehat-rehat di rumah sambil asah kembali mengait guna jarum dua ( knitting).
Dah lama tinggalkan, jenuh jugak otak tua ni mengimbas kembali teknik-tekniknya.
Akhirnya siap juga knitted beanie ni guna child yarn. Silk cotton yang amat sesuai untuk kulit bayi.

Level of difficulty : easy

I've try to knit this booties.Although the result is not too ok..but i'm proud of myself that i now can knit baby booties ( i've try hard).Pattern here.Original picture from Bernat.




I only used the minlon yarn and 4.0 mm knitting needle.

Happy New Year and Salam Awal Muharram..

I've always admired those talented knitters who can create dazzling designs like beautiful cables panel on hat or sock. I love the way when someone add some texture to their knitting. Unfortunately, at the time it was beyond my skills and confidence as a knitter.Now (wink) i discovered how to do it.And this is my first project with cable panel on it. My friend ordered this hat. You can found this pattern here. Believe me.. i'm try hard to knit this hat.After a several attempt tadaaaaaaa presenting The Nottingham Hat. VOILA!!!!


I'm proud of myself and looking forward to knit more cables. Alhamdulillah. This hat gives plenty of opportunity to practice - I'm nearly going crazy on some of the cable rounds. Practice make perfect!!!

My next posting today...i've finished the 2nd hat..this is the rib pattern.I'm using 5mm double pointed needles and 3 balls of yarns ( 50g each).



This hat is very stretchy.Even my DH head can fit it.

A Simple Knit Hat

Dear friends...

After a week of vacation,i'm back to this world of posting.While take care of my daughter ( she was having a chicken pox last week)i manage to finish a knit hat using double pointed knitting needle.BUT the result is so ugly ( practise make perfect).So i try to make another hat.Just start knitting few days ago.I knit very slow.It's about 20 rows now.More rows to go.






Notice that i'm using very skinny needle (3mm) and two color yarn.Hurt my finger.But it don't stop me for keep knitting.No pain no gain.


I want to finish this hat by this week ( hope so).This hat is for my friend.She ordered 3 hat.1 simple knit hat.And 2 more with cable pattern.
