Wedding Season :: Sarung Telur Crochet

Salam all,

During school holidays,many people always held a wedding ceremony. Easy for their relatives to gather together. There is also many gift from the bride/bridegroom family to all the guest which come to celebrate that day.

We can see many kind of souvenir for guest either ready made or hand made.Nowadays, ready made item is popular. Cute and affordable also a lot of choices too.

Formely, late 70s ,80s during my aunties wedding ( i've got 4 aunties) they make souvenir themselves. They crochet all the 'sarung telur'. I don't know how it look like. So i've tried to make one using my own creativity ( which is not very creative i think hu hu)


So this posting is about a ' sarung telur' i made myself. This just a simple one. Just cuba-cuba. Can fit gred 'A' egg. Enjoy!!! ( wink)


I used big hook ( size 8 ) and WINA yarn. So the sarung is stretchy.The egg won't fall...

Finally i know how to knit on circular needle

Dear Gentle Reader

After more than 100 ( LOL ) attempt, i already know how to knit on circular needle. I've watched the video so many times and try to knit using the needle.I wonder how it turned to be wrong because I keep knitting on the one side only..I don't give up . I keep trying and trying and finally i made it.


This is only a trial.I also just want to try how to do the rib pattern.So just knit a few lines to see the result.I made it!! It's purl3 ,knit 2 around.Congrats me!!. I'm a newbie.



Moral of the story : USaha tangga kejayaan.Keep on trying.Where there is a will,there is a way!!!!

This week project while waiting to finish my hat ( it's 80% to finish ..told you i've knit as slow as a snail huhu )i've crocheted this bookmark.I think that i crochet faster than knit.Take about 30 mins to finish this marker.

A Simple Knit Hat

Dear friends...

After a week of vacation,i'm back to this world of posting.While take care of my daughter ( she was having a chicken pox last week)i manage to finish a knit hat using double pointed knitting needle.BUT the result is so ugly ( practise make perfect).So i try to make another hat.Just start knitting few days ago.I knit very slow.It's about 20 rows now.More rows to go.






Notice that i'm using very skinny needle (3mm) and two color yarn.Hurt my finger.But it don't stop me for keep knitting.No pain no gain.


I want to finish this hat by this week ( hope so).This hat is for my friend.She ordered 3 hat.1 simple knit hat.And 2 more with cable pattern.
